in a shocking turn of events, on the 30 th of october 2023, at seaham beach, the whole seaside town came to a standstill as more than 10 police vehicles barricaded the beach to arrest the prophet and the prophetess. the messiah and queen nandi with their three oldest children were praying at the sea, offering sacrifices to their god yahowa, the holy one of kubala.

it was indeed a frightening scene, as the messiah was ordered by a number of durham police officers to surrender his staff, and put his hands on his back. in front of his two sons. his daughter and his wife, and a lot of bystanders, atehene was arrested and handcuffed.
"kofi, you are arrested on suspicion of child kidnapping and child abduction. you do not have to say anything, but anything you say and do may be given as evidence in a court of law."

as shocking as it was, the numerous police officers turned to the prophetess, and ordered her to surrender her basket and staff.
"do not hurt me, i am with child." the distressed prophetess was heard saying.
"you will be okay my love, yahowa is with us nandi, do not panic." the handcuffed messiah comforted his distraught wife.
"do not hurt my wife, she is with child." the king of the north instructed the numerous police officers.
"this child you will not steal esau. this child is with and of the lord." nandi was heard shouting, as her three children surrounded her.

as she was handcuffed, her children prayed for their mother, and hugged her and told her to be strong.
atehene started singing, as they were lead away from the sea to the police cars.
"give me strength oh yahowa, give me strength oh my lord, when i pass through the fire, give me strength give me strength..."
nandi sang with her lord husband, even though her voice was full of fear and dread, for she knew what they do to women like her, when they steal their children, but her husband kept telling her to be strong...
atehene and the prophetess mary-tamar, dresseed in sackcloth, their traditional national dress were then led away in different police vehicles and taken to peterlee police station were they were kept in custody.
the princess ruvimbo nakai was then arrested on 31 october, halloween night, by durham police and kept in police custody on 4 counts of child abduction.

atehene and nandi appeared before magistrate court in ayecliff north east of england on the 1st and 2nd of november 2023 charged with over 20 counts between them. they both confirmed their birth names and denied all charges, pleading not guilty.
atehene, nandi and ruvimbo tamar will appear before the magistrate court on 12 january 2024, the trial continues...
